Company Description

CraneWerks Inc. is a manufacturer of overhead material handling equipment including top running, under-hung free standing, semi-free standing & ceiling supported runway systems, bridge cranes, monorail systems & hoists. Our services include engineering, designing, fabrication, assembling & installation & testing. We also provide turnkey services. Our electric bridge cranes meet CMAA class C standards and our runway systems are designed to AISC specifications. CraneWerks components meet CMAA, HMI, NEC, ANSI & OSHA requirements.

Role Description

This is a full-time Machinist role at CraneWerks Inc. located in Morristown, IN, with flexibility for some remote work. The Machinist will be responsible for fabricating product.

Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of measuring devices such as: calipers, scales, dial indicators, gauges, and micrometers
  • Attention to detail
  • Pass drug screening
  • Able to work extended hours
  • Can work independently and as a team member
  • Must be able to reliably commute or planning to relocate to Morristown, IN before starting work (Required)

Experience

  • Welding (MIG), Fabrication of Structural Steel: 2 years (Required)

As our Machinist, you will:

  • Set up and operate a vertical knee mill, 3 axis powered and 1, including milling, drilling, and tapping
  • Set up and operate an engine lathe- turning, boring, facing, threading
  • Operate band saws and cold saw
  • Grind and de-burr as necessary
  • Hand tap as necessary
  • Be proficient with machining and assembly blueprints
  • Maintain accuracy tolerances of +- .005″ for 3 decimal callouts and +- .015″ for 2 decimal callouts
  • Read and follow blueprints
  • Exercise skills in math, and reading technical instructions to efficiently and correctly assemble the product
