A Night of Community, Compassion, and Change
The energy was electric as 142 walkers, 23 teams, and 36 volunteers gathered, ready to take steps toward change. The Bridge Ministries set a bold goal of raising $20,000, and Team CraneWerks raised $2,005 collectively, helping the Shelbyville community exceed this goal, raising over $22,000!
Every dollar raised will go toward job-skills training, addiction recovery, family support programs, and other vital services that The Bridge Ministries provides to those navigating life’s toughest challenges.
More Than a Walk—A Movement of Hope
Walking through the crisp February air, we weren’t just braving the cold—we were standing in solidarity with those who experience it daily. Each step was a reminder that no one should face hardship alone and that, together, we can make a tangible difference.
For CraneWerks, participating was about more than fundraising—it was about embodying our values of community, support, and lifting others up. Just as we raise businesses with our cranes, we strive to raise hope for those in need.
About the Bridge Ministries
The Bridge was born out of a desire to bring hope and healing to our community. They provide our community with job-skills training, support groups and faith-based recovery programs. Their programs include Celebrate Recovery, Family Celebrate Recovery, Jobs for Life, Heart of Addiction, DivorceCare and more. Their ministry walks alongside people as they navigate mental health struggles, addiction, and difficult relationships.
The Bridge provides hope by rebuilding lives, restoring families, and revitalizing our community.
From The Bridge’s website, “Life can be difficult, but we’re passionate about helping people overcome their struggles by providing compassionate counseling full of grace and truth. We desire to come alongside those who are in seasons of sorrow, sickness, or setbacks in our community and join them on their journey. We work with mentors and counselors to provide Christ-centered mentorship and personal development to individuals and families. Our mentors and counselors help with marriage, family, grief, recovery, and other life struggles.”
Looking Ahead
This was only the beginning. Shelbyville’s first Coldest Night of the Year proved that when a community comes together, change happens. Next year, we hope to grow our team, raise even more, and continue building a future where no one is left out in the cold.
To everyone who walked, donated, and supported Team CraneWerks—thank you. Your generosity has made an impact that will last long beyond this winter night.
