CraneWerks Inc. is a manufacturer of overhead material handling equipment including top running, under-hung free standing, semi-free standing & ceiling supported runway systems, bridge cranes, monorail systems & hoists. Our services include engineering, designing, fabrication, assembling & installation & testing. We also provide turnkey services. Our electric bridge cranes meet CMAA class C standards and our runway systems are designed to AISC specifications. CraneWerks components meet CMAA, HMI, NEC, ANSI & OSHA requirements.

Role Description

CraneWerks is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Traveling Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering quality products and services while ensuring safety standards are met. We’re looking for someone who is proficient in using inspection tools and equipment, familiar with crane operations and mechanics, has strong organizational and management skills, and is able to both work independently and as a part of a team.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in crane inspection or related field
  • In-depth knowledge of crane safety standards and regulations
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication abilities, both verbal and written
  • Willingness to travel extensively (up to 75% of the time)
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Physical ability to climb, lift, and work in various environments

As our Traveling Inspector, you will:

  • Conduct on-site inspections of cranes and lifting equipment at various customer locations
  • Perform thorough safety checks and quality assessments
  • Document inspection findings and prepare detailed reports
  • Collaborate with customers and internal teams to address any issues or concerns
  • Stay updated on industry standards and regulations
  • Provide technical guidance and recommendations for equipment maintenance and repairs
